Created from an exploration into hand turning, I wanted the turned legs to have a reference to old furniture but to incorporate a modern material as a contrast between old and new. Using birch plywood in a way that uses the main feature of the material. I wanted to emphasize the honesty of the material and make it a dominant decoration of the piece.
