TÄKY Gallery’s Design Autumn continues in October with artist and cabinetmaker Minja Kolehmainen.

Through her sculptures and installations, Minja explores the connection between the self and nature. In recent years, pausing, listening, seeing, and exploring the mind have taken center stage in her artistic practice.

Minja lives a minimalist, nomadic life, working full-time as an artist while traveling and living in her small motorhome called Minja & Mobile Workshop.

Some of the works are designed to be touched, creating a strong connection between the viewer, the artwork, and the present moment. They offer a sensory experience rooted in the calming energy and natural power of wood — forming a bridge between oneself, nature, and something greater.

“Through my art, I wish to bring peace, hope, comfort, and courage to those who may have lost them along the way.”

TÄKY Gallery & Shop is open Tue–Fri 11–17, Sat–Sun 11–15.
